Additional container or replacement for the Vitamix. The container is oversized, 64-ounce capacity made from Eastman Tritan copolyester material that is virtually unbreakable, more chemical resistant and contains no BPA. This see-through, no-drip spout container lets you witness the processing from start to finish. It features raised calibrations for easily measuring ingredients in ounces, cups or metrics. Container includes wet blade and 2-part locking lid designed for easy removal. Hardened stainless steel blades break down food and ice inside the container for consistently smooth results. Lid has removable plug marked with measurements and allows ingredients to be added while processing. Spill proof lid vents to allow hot or cold food to expand and contract. Container has soft-grip handle for a comfortable, non-slip grasp.

After owning my Vita-Mix for 10 years, I noticed a crack starting in the bottom of the container. It still works fine and doesn't leak, but I used my discovery as an excuse to purchase this container with the new lid style and soft grip handle. This lid is super and much easier to work with than the old style. The plug is easy to remove and just as easily locks back into place. The attachment tabs on the side of the lid make securing it to the container quick and efficient. Removing it after processing is also easier than with the old style and can be done with one hand.

The cushioned grip handle is a lovely treat especially if the container is rather full and heavy. I feel very pampered using it.

I love my Vita-Mix and after 10 years it still works perfectly. I've never had to change the blade or have it serviced in any way. It's just a wonderful machine. The old container would have probably continued working fine for a long time, but I wanted to enjoy...Read more

I have had a Vitamix Blender since March 1997. My original container starting leaking since I started using it daily for "Herbalife" 2 months ago. I ordered the IMPROVED LIGHTWEIGHT BETTER CONTAINER with a RUBBER HANDLE. Not only is the food blended MUCH BETTER, FASTER, MUCH EAISER CLEANUP, CLEARER to see the ingrediants. The original machine works faster, quieter with the New State of the Art Container.

Exactly what you received in the box when you opened your machine is exactly what you'll get with this replacement jug.

It is excellent and even comes with the lid and cover .... the only thing that it doesn't come with is the tamper....
