It is not too often I purchase an item and have my expectations exceeded. This little blender does the job and does it well. My daughter was using a large blender for her smoothies; loud, cumbersome and because of the size, she usually made more than she wanted. I bought this for her birthday. She was initially skeptical and then shocked at how quickly and efficiently the blender works--even with completely frozen fruit (although I like to thaw a little first). I HIGHLY recommend this product. Other reviewers on other sites suggest getting two containers. But for me, one has been fine.

This is perfect if you are looking for fast, easy, convenient individual smoothie maker. There are some negatives, but you also get what you pay for. The motor will burn out quickly depending on how often you use. I've had 3 of these. The motors kept burning out but for the price & convenience and the size of the small appliance, I really liked it. I'm not sure if the containers are now dishwasher safe, the ones that I have are not. Therefore I would suggest getting extra containers if you use everyday. This is so easy to wrap up & take with you on a trip. It is perfect for protein shakes, yogurt shakes, will work with frozen or fresh fruit, I wouldn't suggest ice, or something that is going to make the motor work too hard. The covers are secure when in place & your drink will not spill if tipped over.
