I bought this exact reburbished smoothie blender in 2008 and have had zero problems with it. Love it. Solid in construct. Industrial, but yet sleek in appearance. The lone two toggle switches on the front base are spartan in look and function. No fussy clean up as with all those multi-push button blenders. One must assemble the base correctly, or it can leak. Just do it correctly and it will be fine. Crushes ice for smoothies in a snap. Powerful with on/off and pulse toggle switches. Easy to clean. Looks great on the kitchen counter.
Would purchase again and pay more.

I PURCHASED THIS BLENDER TO MAKE FROZEN DRINKS. WITHIN ONE YEAR (1) THE COLLAR BROKERTHREE (3) TIMES. I WOULD RATE THIS BLENDER A 5 IF THE COLLAR DIDN'T CONSTANTLY SHATTER AS A RESULT OF CRUSHING ICE. IF YOU ARE BRAVE ENOUGH TO PURCHASE THIS ITEM, CHECK THE COLLAR FOR HAIRLINE BREAKS. THE BREAKS ARE NOT OBVIOUS UNTIL LIQUID COMES FLOWING OUT OF THE MODELS BASE.
