I bought an "oster blend-n-go" cup from amazon about 2 years ago it was awesome. When I ordered this one I thought it was the same one.....it isn't. The plastic is thin and very flexible, so it flexes a little bit when blending ice for smoothies. It does a poor job crushing ice compared to my other blend-n-go cup. It doesn't leak, has good measurements, but I wish it was the thicker more durable plastic.

I think this is a great cup. The other reviews worried me that the plastic would be "flimsy," but I didn't find this to be the case. I don't know if Oster changed the material (it looks like the same translucent plastic) but I can't even get the cup to bend if I squeeze it hard with both hands. The smoothies I make in this cup are just as good as those I make in the glass blender jar: no problems with ice-crushing ability. I even use this cup when I'm not "on-the-go" just to reduce the dishes I need to wash.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I wish the cup was a little smaller. Probably not everyone will agree with me, but no one needs THAT much smoothie for breakfast and I would rather have it fit into my bag more easily. The description says 18 oz blending capacity, but I would say it's closer to 20. Sometimes I'm just annoyed that I'm carrying this huge cup that's only 1/2 to 2/3 full. But that's just my preference. Oh yeah, and it's too tall to use a normal...Read more

I agree with the fellow from TX. The older, harder, & clear type plastic blend-n-go cups are superior to this newer type with the more flexible translucent plastic. Both work, but I wish they'd bring back the old ones, or offer a stainless steel blend-n-go cup option.
