I bought this as a replacement for my oster blender jar. It is an improvement over the original square jar design. When making smoothies or protein shakes I no longer have to stop and scrape the sides of the jar as the contents no longer stick in corners. Seems to blend faster also with this design.

We've had an old 10 speed Oster blender (model 869) for too many years to count. It's 350 watts is primitive compared to the 600-1000 watts the blenders have today, but the blender has been good to us and as long as it keeps making our rum runners and milkshakes we'll keep it. Unfortunately, a couple weeks ago I broke the original glass jar in the sink. I located the Oster brand glass jar #4918-020 at a huge discount electronics store and am completely satisfied. I love this 'newer' style over the old tall jar! It's dishwasher safe, has marked measuring indicators and the lid and filler cap is included. I paid less than $15 for it so I've no complaints.
