OSTER 12-SPEED BLENDER WITH FOOD PROCESSOR

I have had this blender/food processor for over four years now and I love it! It is very practical to have two machines in one and it takes care of both jobs very well. I have used it for homemade baby food, daily smoothies, milkshakes, making hashbrowns, and on and on.

I started using this blender about a week ago, and it has been wonderful. I make at least one smoothie a day, and often crush ice, and so far this blender has surpassed any and every other blender I've used-- including a few professional or kitchen grade. I'll throw in frozen fruit, 4 or more cubes of ice and the flavors of the day and after maybe 10-15 seconds on 'smoothie' or 'frozen drink' I have a perfectly blended beverage. The ice becomes flaky! Think kosher salt flaky. It makes for a very smooth drink that stays nice and cool. No lumps so far. I've crushed ice with water and have got something akin to a perfect slushie (add a little syrup, you'd never know the difference). Pitcher size, and 450w seems to be right on the money. . . I will update if I have any functionality problems but so far, I'm impressed and very happy with this product.

I deducted one star because it is a PLASTIC pitcher. I prefer glass and it just makes more sense for cleaning/all-purpose...Read more
