Editor's Choice:KitchenAid's five-speed blender has a number of functions that set it above the crowd as our choice for best blender under $100. It starts with the five speed settings and the pulse function, which works at any of the speeds--a really nice touch. The blender's 40-ounce glass jar has a squat shape, making it more manageable than taller blenders, and comes completely apart.

When mentioning this to our friends, they said they had the same problem with kitchen aid products and after only a couple of years Kitchen aid knew the problems and discontined the model. Who wants to replace their blenders every couple of years. Try another company, not another model from this company TPSMITH 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By Mel "mcniles" (Belmont, CALIFORNIA United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: KitchenAid KSB5 5-Speed Blender, Almond (Kitchen) I purchased this blender about a month ago. It's awsome! I make smoothies almost every day (with fresh and frozen fruit). It's quick and powerful (not too loud). The smoothies are well... smooth! I love the wide jar. It blends everything (no stopping the blender and scraping the sides to get everything to the bottom). 5 speeds are plenty to do any job. I did alot of research before I bought this blender and I am really happy with it! My husband was stunned by how quick and easy it is. It's easy to clean. A quick tip, after you blend, instead of cleaning. Just rinse out jar, add hot water and a drop of dishwashing liquid and blend. It gets the jar really clean and no scrubbing (even those tiny bits of blueberries that seem to stick on glass). 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By JR "cooksalot" (NY) - See all my reviews This review is from: KitchenAid KSB5 5-Speed Blender, Almond (Kitchen) I was lucky enough to get mine refurbished. You'd never know by looking at it. A friend, excited about hers, couldn't wait for me to try it, so I immediately made a large protein shake (soy milk, cocoa, Splenda, vanilla, frozen banana, protein powder and lots of ice). It crushed the ice very quietly (compared to others), and quickly left me with two perfect shakes. I'm going to be very happy with this blender. I don't have the long term experience with it that some have, but I know that if a product starts out being quality, I usually get my money's worth out of it. |
