I had this machine for a few weeks, and it is/was awesome! That being said, I pulled it out from the dishwasher, let it cool and used it to make an amazing chocolate shake, and set it on the counter. I decided to hand wash it (by this time the glass was room temp) and as I ran water in it, I noticed water coming out one side. I emptied it out and found a cracks in the glass. I called Breville and the replaced the entire blender. I was told there was a known flaw, and there were no issues or further questions asked, they gave me the instrucions for retuning it. Awesome Customer service! No problems whatsoever. I will be receiving a replacement within 10 business days. This is the best blender I have ever owned. I am looking forward to using it again. BTW...they replaced the whole untit, blender motor and Glass, as they replace them as a unit. I highly recommend this blender, and have done so to several friends.

The pitcher cracked out of warranty and I have yet to be able find a replacement online. I bought a new Breville Ikon Hemisphere blender and love it. The Hemisphere shape of the bottom does a much better job of mixing the contents and is well worth the difference in price (Margaritas anyone!)

Instruction Booklet says "Do not place glass jug or blade assembly in the dishwasher. Hand wash with warm soapy water." Not acceptable. Did not discover this deficiency despite pre-purchase due diligence. Our reduced sale price is consistent with a lower value product, but am still downgrading to 1-star due to Breville omitting this important information from product description.
